SUbject: 56 Packard Executive with Delco. Very orignal unrestored car with 55K miles. Mark IV AC using 84'ish Toy compressor.

Eq.: Simpson analoug ammter, It was good enuf for Chev eng'ring R&D.

Test:
Engine OFF. Ignition on. Headlite switch all the way out and high beams activated. BOTH courtesy lites ON. Mark IV AC clutch on and fan on. Both heater fans on hi. Trunk lite on.

Ammeter reading 30 Amps rite on the mark. 4our feet of 10 gauge wire used for the ammeter leads. They never so much as even got the least little bit warm and it's an 80*F nite here. Probably a 3 to 5 minute test connexion made between + battery post and DISconnected + cable terminal.

See p 64 of electrical section of SM. See the chart for fuse capacity.

Note it lists Over Drive fuse at 15 amps.

If we add up the entire list it's about 160 amps. eWindows/seat and top not in list.
