OK...I feel like a first class moron...the connection to the pos. battery terminal was not tight. After tightening it, the engine no longer stalls. How easy is it to overlook the simplest things! I tend to overthink things, I guess.

Thanks to all here on PI, your help is always appreciated and I will gladly return the favor when I can.

Run into that problem all that time. It's not always obvious. I even get cars that crank over fast, but stall out because the battery is poor. On GM's it's easier to diagnose because the computer uses "battery correction voltage" software which sets off symptoms.

Some of these cases have been all over the place and have tons of new parts.
