There seems to be a growing and spreading rumor on this-here message board that Wat is cornering the market on '41-'47 Clippers, and coupes in particular, and he wishes to say, this just ain't so. And - he's just about run out of room.

Facebook Marketplace:https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/i ... 17-4182-acd2-e5b9f7598ea6

1947 Clipper 2100. Looks to be a no options (no EC visible in the engine compartment and no o/d cut-out switch inside) car, seems complete, and the A-pillar shot in the pictures of the passenger side seems to look okay at the floor. Of course, there's no driver's view. Price seems okay at $2,800 and it seems fairly complete. Between Toledo and Detroit. Maroon/brown, I think, like mine.

I don't understand the Tennessee battle flag. Given the threats to kidnap and murder the governor, the threats against police and their children, and death threats against government officials; those things are liable to land someone on a no-fly list.

You, sir, seem to be an especial sort of troublemaker.

She hasn't heard about it . . . yet.

Kudos for knowing what it is. Leave it to the halfwits to screw up yet another scrap of cloth.

I guess I'll have to stick with the 1775 Navy jack . . . .

I gave that one up 20 years ago for just that reason.

Extremism in the promotions of stupidity is certainly a vice . . . .

Now, if that car for sale were a Super Clipper coupe, Fred would have spoken. I can safely say that I know her mind on this.

That's what my wife tells me too, so it must be true!

That and I identified it so quickly. I know who my people are and spot them when they appear.

Fred has been in the hay or has found some kind of nest:
