Nice car, I just started a project blog on a 53 Clipper that I picked up in Oct 2009. It started life as two door post and the previous owner (blooddsweat&steal) had been comunicating with Old Gold on the HAMB. So the chop top was begun by previous owner and mine has been in the shop since Nov 2009. Does Old Gold obviously have a body shop and does he have a 51-54 Chopped Packard? I have seen a black primored one one the HAMB. The black seems to be lower in chop and ride height. What back window did u use? Is the car stock? Tranny drums rearaxle?

Packrat, the black car is down the street here in Phoenix. It was stock driveline till fellow here pulled it and sold to me. I sent the engine to friends in Texas Christmas before last. Very neat car!

My car still has a stock driveline, axle and brakes it's all stock except for 12 volt conversion, the chop, door conversion, and air shocks. The back window is from the black packard Old Gold chopped. Old Gold works in a custom shop with 2 other guys and he sold his packard. I've got more pics from Billetproof I believe I was the only Packard there.

Hey great pics! I have always had a soft spot for the "Betties". My wife an I are going on vacation with a bunch of friends this summer, and one of the club night themes is Rockabilly, so the wife will be sporting this look soon.

From 4 door to 2 door, dropped the top, looks good! That's some talent. What about a rag top / convertible?
