My 56 Packard has been through some interesting wire modifications that will take some time and effort to bring back to normal.

Lord, haven't they all. Everyone knows better than the factory and happiness is just a few blue crimp splices away. It's hard to fid a car of this vintage where the wiring hasn't been dicked with to ill effect. Especially the PB-TL cars.

I'm learning a lot about the car, things that I had taken for granted on my previous cars (60's and newer). Some previous owner has retrofitted an ignition switch (no place for the ignition light) and buggered up the wires. Another under-dash adventure into the jungle looking for more cuts and sore knuckles. I wouldn't have it any other way because of the great feeling of accomplishment and restoring such a beauty
