1999 Ranger, which, BTW, is available in manual. The master cylinder is NOT a Ranger, as the Ranger master cylinder has the line outlets on the driver's side and would interfere with the fenderwell. Also, it goes in the hole that the driver's side vent tube uses, so you'll have to cut off the lip on the engine side of the firewall to allow the unit to sit flush. As for not being centered, the pedal arm re-aligns it so it does sit where the original pedal was, although it's a little lower than stock. And, you'll have to tie in the pedal assembly to the steering column to make it all secure. (which, BTW, I haven't done yet)

As a side note, all the details of this were on the AACA forum until the PeterG got a heavy hand and deleted everything I ever wrote. I did all this to years ago and it's worked fine ever since.

Yes. i remeber vividly that u documented it at AACA. At that time i was unable to start this project. i'M READY TO START IT NOW. tHANKS FOR THE INFO.

btw, THE MASTER CYLINDER APPEARS TO BE A gm CA 1973-1983 ISH. Probably "G" van series.

Is there a bore size marked on the master cylinder????
Is the mc Ci or Al. ????
Any other markings on the mc????

No markings on the m/c, and the m/c is Al. It looks like an old Chrysler m/c to me, one from the early 70's. Anyway, it doesn't matter which one it is, unless you're trying to really fine tune the brake system. Somewhere, I have the part # for the m/c I bought, I just don't know where it is since the move. OR you could just go to the parts store and find one that fits the booster, just like I did. Be very careful of the depth of the plunger rod, though!

ok. Am i correct in saying that u drilled NO holes in the firewall for mounting the Power Unit????

Yes, it's mounted it exactly like that. When I get the Mayfair I'll be doing the exact same installation in it, and it'll all be posted on here.
