You could send the block off to Extrude-Hone, but beware, it's an expensive process and only used on racing engines. You don't want to coat the exhaust ports with anything, it'll burn right off, and I'd be scared to do the intakes, knowing my luck, the stuff would peel, get stuck in a valve, and burn the valve.

I checked out their website, and I think that is going a bit overboard for a 90 hp engine! Nonetheless, very interesting site. Amazing what is being done these days.

Next week I am shipping off the lower half to Hart Machine in OH. The block goes to Houston Metal Stripping for chem-stripping. Other bits go to a local shop for de-greasing and bead blasting.

Tom,

I had Harts do my engine also (I still have to reassemble it). You will find them to be very pleasant to work with and to me they were reasonable on the cost side of it.

That'd be the place. They have the best method for increasing flow in any enclosed tubular chamber. Drop your Carib heads and intake by there and see what they can do!

So far, I definitely agree. Very helpful and reasonable. I have a guy picking up the crank housing, etc. tomorrow for shipping. As soon as he is out the driveway I head off to Houston (woo hoo).
