'54 Deluxe after 6 months outside

It seems that it's been a tough winter on everything but Packards.

Following a 6-month sojourn outside:

Put the battery charger on for a couple of hours (battery never taken out)
Gas pedal to the floor once
Cranked about 10 seconds
Gas pedal to the floor again
Cranked 5 seconds more and it started, idled down, ran smooth.

I guess spring maintenance is almost done.
Just have to let the crunchy ridge of snow melt from around it.
I'm amazed no signs of interior leaks, even around the wing windows, on which I did some experimental sealant work last year. Melting snow is probably not as good of a test as rain, though.

It's encouraging that the carb sat that long and apparently did not leak dry.

We'll see what goes wrong after this rather auspicious beginning. I think it's just toying with me.
