Hi all, this is a recent discovery in a river bed in South Africa, I believe a 1938 Sedan - The photo of the chassis plate is not too clear but perhaps someone can ID the car and possibly supply some initial owner info please. It appears to show 22 or 32 I9III

If I manage to find out any SA history I will let you guys know.

Many thanks

Wayne

Definitely not a 1938, they had a 2-piece front windscreen. And also it is shown as Michigan (Detroit)-built; Canadian-built right hand drive cars in 1938 had a metal vehicle number plate but the Detroit-built used a decal for 1938.

Might the vehicle number to be 1082-19111, a 1937 6-cylinder model 115C touring sedan? With the production sequence number so high (19111), it must be a high volume model.
