Does anyone have any good shots of the 1952 Packard Pinin Farina Coupe from when it was debuted in 1952?

I think it is currently in the Packard Museum in Dayton, or at least a tribute copy of it is.

That car has always been one of my favorites.

Brian,

The best way to create an article is to write it in Word so you ahve precise control of the layout and formatting, and then just save it as a PDF.

That is what I did with the FuelPump article, and my upcoming CARB rebuild article.

If you want to write something inline, the use the Kovi editor as it gives you better layout controls.

Now that would be a good Article to write up Brian. With the text as you described it, and a couple of pictures or illustrations. It's almost a Judging Guide to 55-56 exterior trim.

John,

Those are great pictures. Can you add those to the Picture Library so they do not get lost down the forum threads.

Thanks,

Here is the piece that John sent me. It shows the hydraulic layout common to the 51-54 cars.

Here are the before and after pics on that Carb rebuild I did. I will post the my rebuild how-to as soon as I have time to sit down for a couple of hours to write it all up and organise the photos. Work has been crazy, so I have been pretty worn out by the time I get home in the evenings.

Here are the photos:

Brian, thanks for sharing those pics, they are great.

Concept cars have always amazed me. The cars from the early 50's to the Mid 60's are just so creative. I really believed that every automotive designer during that time period really believed that cars would be flying by 1975.

The compressor came in today and appears to be working fine of the shared outlet it is on now. I eventually get a dedicated outlet ran for it. But right now it looks like it's going to cost me around $750 to run a sub-panel out in the garage. So that may have to wait until later.

Those look like very nice lenses! The plastic is probably better quality, then 50 year old NOS ones. I find that the newer plastics are more scratch resistant, and do not crack and cloud like the older plastics.

BTW you can attach multiple pics to the same post if you like. After you attach/upload the first picture, just click browse and select another one and upload again. You can just keep attaching as many pictures as you want. This is a kind of a hidden feature of the forums here.

Well this weekend has pretty productive out in the garage. I spend last night rebuilding the Carb on the '54. It came out very nice, and I will be doing a write-up for the website on it very soon just like I did with my fuel pump rebuild.

Luck shined my way today when I was walking around the local swap-meet, which they have every weekend at the drive-in. I found a brand-new Professional Series Craftsman rolling tool chest that lists at Sears for $200+ plus for $40. It just has some scratches on the backside of it, that no one will see. The caster kit, and top chest were still boxed and shrink-wrapped. SCORE!
