Re: How can you tell what the original interior upholstery color should be on a 1937 115C?

Bob Supina
I am puzzled by the font.

Consider this data plate of a 1937 Twelve Limousine....
The '3' and '6' are very different.

Can you be more specific about acceleration?
Is that from engine idle or slow cruise?
Our 526 Six was having difficulty to accelerate above 40 mph. the problem was solved when we removed the inline fuel filter between the vacuum tank and the carb.

If someone organizes a similar showroom of all models of the Fifth Series, we will bring our Convertible Coupe.

The Super Eight wheel is 6 3/8" wide, the center hole is 3 3/4" in diameter and the lug spacing is 3 1/4" center to center.
There is no pin striping on the wheels of our RHD 1500 because the car was repainted when it arrived in England...to "get rid of that gauche ornamentation"

I will get some pics and dimensions for the Super Eight wheels later today, but do not have any Twelve wheels left. They are different.

What prompts your question? Are you looking for one or the other?

Re: How do you flush Bijur lines?

Bob Supina
Thanks for the idea.
Throw out bearing port is fine. I had just filled the transmission, and started testing the Bijur. Pulled the handle three times and went for a ride.
When I got home, oil started pouring out of the bell housing.
The next day I saw a puddle of oil under the car. My first thought was that the transmission seal was bad, but was very relieved when I checked the level...so I guess the throw out bearing was flooded.

How do you flush Bijur lines?

Our recently acquired 1927 Six Convertible Coupe had not been used much since 1971. We are gradually going through all the systems to get it tour ready. I put a 10-30 oil in the container and pulled the handle but I could only see evidence of oil coming out at the front left spring.
Anxious to hear what methods owners have used to clear the lines.
