October 1935 you mean.

For my classic 37 ford with antique plates $38 for 5 yrs
My wifes 09 tahoe $64

I was in Hawaii 2 weeks ago for the 1st time and I was amazed that older cars didn't show much rust from the salt ocean

Re: What was the single most important advance in cars after 1900?

I don't think there's a single advance. When you look from 1900-1942 every year they came with major improvements. Just look at Packard from 1925-1940 they improved with leaps and bounds!
But come to think of it; probably the invention of the combustion engine cause after 120 years the basics of that is still the same

Is the reservoir not a glass jar or is that only on the 1935 &36 models?

I assume there is but can't find the answer anywhere: is there any difference between transmissions behind a v12, 320 & 385?

Is there any differences between transmissions between 1935 &1939?

Steve, because I braked so hard it busted a rubber brake hose. But they were old enough to go straight to the Smithsonian!

Ross I don't think my brake hoses were original but they were old and worn. Just ordered 3 new ones at Merritt
