1928/29 water pump removal
Home away from home
Home away from home

Gar
What am I missing?

1-I removed the four nuts/washers that hold the water pump/fan assembly on.

2-I removed the fan blades and loosened the packing nut(about three full turns)

3-I sprayed the entire water pump gasket area with rust buster

4-??

I still can't remove the water pump.
Is there a special tool to remove the water pump or is it frozen with rust in place?

Thanks

What are the correct type of clamps to use on my radiator hoses? I see tower, double band, Sherman style and wide thumb type clamps. All in brass, zinc or S Steel.

Thanks

Restoration supply have several different springs in their catalog. Their web site is restorationstuff.com. Lots of bolts and fasteners.

A condenser is the same thing as a capacitor.
The condenser charges and discharges and works with the coil to create a spark plug spark. The discharge of the condenser protects the points and eliminates an arc across the points. -If your car runs real rough or if you have severe pitting and burning of your points, a condenser could be causing this issue-

Condensers/capacitors are rated in micro-farads.
Most condensers should fall between 0.18 to 0.25 micro-farads.

If the size of the condenser is wrong, or if the voltage to the condenser is too high or too low, this can cause premature failure of the condenser. Moisture can also cause premature failure,as well as poor manufacturing processes (ok...cheap Chinese).

Does anyone have a picture or MODEL number of the correct wiper motor that should be in a 1928 533 Packard Sedan (Town Car)?

Radiator repair recommendations near Romeo, MI
Home away from home

Gar
OK.
Too many small leaks in my radiator to try over the counter stop leak additives. I am looking for some recommendations of repair shops near Romeo, MI to fix my radiator.

I was thinking of North American Radiator (Shelby Twp) or Avon Radiator in Rochester Hills. Any thoughts?

THANKS
