Hey they're starting to cancel church for tomorrow morning because of the heavy snow here. The Methodists, Nazarenes and the Lutherans are staying home in the morning but The Catholics are still going. What does THAT say? Hmmmmm

What all do you get for your $94? I'm thinking about going electronic with my '41 Clipper (282) too... What about your coil?

I've found that a spray de-greaser followed with a pressure washer using detergent works well. Just do it over an area that you don't care if it gets VERY DIRTY. I won't report you to the EPA!
One story about high pressure cleaning. A good farmer friend of mine cleaned his Gleaner combine with a pressure washer after harvest one year. He had it spotless! The next harvest season, he had bearing failure after bearing failure. The implement shop said he had cleaned TOO well with the pressure washer and had forced the grease out of the bearings.
Proceed with caution.......

VERY funny Roger.
It's snowing again here in NW Ohio. I had a nice path to my Packard garage but it's going to fill in again today. I took a couple of pictures.

Well, all of our area schools are closed today (probably tomorrow too). It looks like we'll be making up some days in June. I think I'll move some snow and do some tinkering in the "Packard garage." I'm SO glad we insulated and heated the space! The only problem with it is that we try to store too much stuff in there for the winter along with the cars leaving little space to get around. It's a little hard to tune a car with all those flower pots and lawn furniture!

What do you all do to get ready for a snow or ice event in your area? I have plenty of gas available for our generator if and when we lose power. Our propane tank is full (for the heater in our Packard garage too) and I salted the drive. Wife is making chili...

Greg, what model is your '52? We plan to drive near Owosso next summer with our '52 Mayfair on our way to Petoskey in the Michigan hinderlands. The VMCCA Chrome Glidden will be held there in June. We should get our girls together!
FYI: The Hirsch product is a good one, but a bit pricey if my memory is right....

Won't a standard (modern) radiator cap fit? I've done the switch with my Chief Pontiac ornament on our '27 Pontiac when away from it at night...or parked it in the trailer!

So Fred, do you think they've infringed on a patent here?

Re: Survival rates of pre-war cars

When I was researching the prewar ('41-'42) Clippers, I read somewhere that the survival rate for those models was relatively low because many were used as donor cars after the war for the '46's and '47's involved in accidents, etc, as they had the same body parts. Makes some sense....there seems to be more post was Clippers around than the prewar models.
