I realize that this is an older thread; it came up in a search while researching making new brake for my 41. I found the discussion to be highly informative, and was a big part in my decision to go with the NiCopp tubing.
This is the first time I've made brake lines. The NiCopp is a pleasure to work with and very easy to flare. It is also very easy to bend, and work with. I did find that a good flaring tool makes a huge difference. The first one I purchased was a

Along the bottom edge of the 1st picture linked below, you can see what remained of the rubber that used to attach the inner fenders to the frame on my 41 120. The 2nd plink shows a straight on view, without fenders (remnants of rubber are still attached).
The first time I took the inner fenders off to do some work the brittle rubber completely cracked, and crumbled. I'd guess it was about 1/8 - 3/16 think. It was held in place by a metal strip with holes and push clips that sandwiched it to the frame, and inner fender. Picture of inner fender attachment Straight on view without fender

Came across a Clipper Constellation in Red Cross, NC today. It's in rough shape, but might be useful for someone to finish a project, or if someone is really ambitious...hub caps and other trim bits are in the back seat. If I heard correctly the gentleman was asking under 1k for it.

The car in the picture has a 2 tone paint scheme; the vent guards match the lower color. Should they match the upper color? The owner believes that paint is original.

41 120 Vent Window Rain Guards

Today I visited with my friend Robert who has a nice 41 110 convertible. He took me to meet his neighbor who owns a 41 120 4 door touring Sedan. I was pretty excited as I haven't had an opportunity to see another one up close, and take some pictures, since I've owned my 41 120 touring sedan.
Anyway, I saw an interesting feature on his 120. Both the drivers and passengers side vent windows had rain guards mounted above them (We'd call them vent visors on a modern car). Were these a stock option, or an aftermarket or dealer installed option, like vent visors are today? Thanks, Chad
