Here's a picture of my backseat. So are these parts vinyl or leather?

Thank you for your answers. It's just funny that I've found a few cars where just that part is different color from than the rest of the interior.

See the interior door pictures in this one:http://www.rdclassics.de/oldtimer_verk/Packard%20400%20Hardtop%20coupe.html?oldtimer=1075#disp_slide

And is this because of fading caused by sun?http://www.secondchancegarage.com/public/classic-car-photogallery4/1955-packard-400/1955-packard-400-door.jpg

How do I contact Mike Dulinksi?

Upholstery and interior questions

Hello!

My 1955 Packard 400 has the interior code 82. I want to restore the car so I have a few questions about the interior. :)

I have read that the code 82 means it should have white leather and blue fabric on the seats. My seats are white so it seems that my Packard has the code 89 upholstery. So I guess someone has changed the upholstery at some point? Or is there any other possible explanation for it?

Now another question. I have included a picture where you can see that on the front door under the window there is a part that has a dark green leather on it. Is this how it was meant to be or should it be the same color as the other blue leather in the car?

Now my last question is if anyone would have pictures of a similar 1955 Packard 400 with the code 82 interior? I'd really love to see what it's going to look like. I haven't been able to find pictures of one like that myself.

Thank you very much,
Jani

That car number does not appear in Stuart Blond's Cormorant article listing company cars, including cars assigned to styling. Very interesting.

Is it possible to read this article somewhere?

They look even better on a Patrician......

Offtopic: May I ask what are the colors in that Patrician? Mine are Ultramarine Blue and Moonstone White. I'm wondering if that's Ultramarine Blue or some of the other blue tones.

I have seen that picture when googling and it's the best picture of a Four Hundred with the wire wheels. I'm still wondering if those are the repro wheels or original?

Thank you very much. From Guscha's link I see that the Chrome Wire Wheels were indeed an option for the Four Hundred aswell.

Are the repro wheels exact replicas of the original ones?

I have read that wire wheels were an option for the 1955-1956 Packard Caribbean. Is this true, and are they different than the wire hubcaps available for other models? I have a 1955 Packard 400 and I am wondering if it was possible to have the wire wheels, not the hubcaps for my car as an option? I think the car would even more beautiful with wire wheels. :)

Thank you very much for your help!

I've been driving daily with my Packard, and I've loved every day. She's been working great and soon it's time to put her to a garage for the winter. The Packard is going to be painted soon.

Now my next question is if someone could show me a picture of a 1955 Packard 400 with the GE paint code. Ultramarine Blue and Moonstone White. I'd also love to see some interior pictures.

But I'm happy to say that even in it's current state I was able to get the Packard full of beautiful young women! Proof in attachment!

Got the sidelights work, thanks. :)

And no problem, I'm happy to be part of the Packard community!

Now another question. Where can I get replacement power window switches for my Packard? The driver side contacts are really bad and are hardly working.
