I love to troll the craigslist/ebay ads for cars i cant buy.

or would like to but dont have the time or space.

but this week is especially painful cause:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Packard-300-Henney-1951-Packard-Henney-Hearse-/291204576398?forcerrptr=true&hash=item43cd25348e&item=291204576398&pt=US_Cars_Trucks

i want that 51 Henney so bad. rust bucket yes. but possibility ...

also this poor girl:

http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/4591993291.html

might see if i can swap something cause he aint going to sell it/ craigslist or his ebay listing of the same car.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/111424336879?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1426.l2649

actually the market is poor here in south los angeles this year. another 51 complete with a chromes 288 head went for five hundred months back ...

Maybe some stainless trims are a really good fit but I went through mine (- have three sets) and picked the best but none of them were a happy fit. It makes me wonder about what the Manual says - ' . . . attach the trims to the seal before inserting the glass into the body . . . '.I wonder how many people have tried doing it that way? And - did it work?
(BigKev)

Me: YES and NO ( it does not work like that ) least for me. i had the same issues as you. i used the refered to body 3M contact cement meant for stainless/rubber/steel

I had to use sticky contact cement meant for the purpose. had to put it on both sides and let it dry. i tried all the other options that were stated and this one finally worked. i was able to take it off when needed. kinda rolls off like rubber cement. was reddish in colour but i did not use much and it was under the stainless on the top. the top was the worse. around the curve.

i have been following your excellent progress.
i have a question . will a 51 Patrician Windshield/screen fit in a 53 200 Deluxe. the look the same. (the later Patricians had bigger glass with corners. but my 200 has the rounded windshield . i found a donor car and i need to find the part numbers in the x ref . to see if it is the same windshield. unless anybody knows if they are or are not.
