Brian, South Bend had a lot of V-8 parts books after they stopped making Packards. There indeed are original soft cover books with the beige covers out there. I have several.

Kevin, it is probably original. I would wait for the july 56 version. There are a lot of 56 parts that are not listed in the copy you are looking at. Especially ultramatic parts.

Brian, here is a pic of the top material. If the detail is not good enough for you, PM me and I'll send you a piece of it.

Turbopacman, my wheels are untouched originals. The factory was in such a hurry to get them out the door that the back side of the rims are still in factory primer. The back side of my original fender skirts are in primer also.

mr. Pushbutton, the reason you have four different color wheels is that when we pulled the car out of the Indian Village garage 35 years ago we brought wheels and tires with us as all the tires were flat on the car.

My 56 400 is Erie Green and Shannon Green. The wheels are original and are the deep green that matches the dashboard. Mr. Pushbutton, hope to see you saturday.

I have an original conv. top boot for 1956. I have had it for 30 years and it is authentic.
