I agree with you, and most of these "thinking out loud/daydreaming" type questions could be easily satisfied by using various search engines such as Google Yahoo or whatever instead of clogging up this site with minutia and drivel.

There were some' Canadian Built' 1932 Chrysler Imperial 8 model CH automobiles. They ranged from 9890001 though 9890041. I have looked at several of these, several still survive, and I can see no unique features. They all had Budd bodies. It is not likely that a separate assembly line was built for forty cars. More likely than not, they were Built in Detroit, moved across the border under the cover of night, and new serial plates affixed.

Here in the States we have a lot of guys wanting to learn the panel beating trade. I know of at least one who went to England to learn the rudiments of the trade.
I want to say this kindly but the best way to accumulate and absorb automotive information is to get away from the computer and spend some time in the shop, make some mistakes and get on with it.

Sometimes I ask a question just to test the seller and get a sense of whom I am risking my money with. If I get a strident or wise guy reply then I will do without their goods and services. Sometimes it is easier to retreat to my shop and fab the part rather then feed someone's high priced ego.

Does anyone else find it annoying to log in to ebay, then have to enter a 'security' verification code to ask a question of a vendor?
