Hank,

Children are a joy and blessing. The best wishes of my wife Kath and I go out to you and your wife at this time. Enjoy your children even at 2/3/4am when they won't sleep and neither can you! Now we're enjoying our grandchildren which is another experience altogether. 2 sons, 1 daughter and 2 granddaughters.

This will truly be a for you and your wife.

Kev,

Got no idea if my '41 120 shield is anything like your Clipper shield but for what it's worth here's a pic. It has 2 mounting brackets, the upper one fastens to the front exhaust manifold stud while the lower one affixes to the rear fuel pump mounting bolt. Hope this helps.

Tom,

Thanks for the updates, looks like you're having fun along the way. Unfortunately I couldn't view the videos but the numerous pic's you provide give a comprehensive view of proceedings nevertheless.

BigT,

The number G415571 cited on the title sounds like the "Thief Proof" number stamped into metal firewall. It is quite large so you shouldn't miss seeing it.

EDIT - Here's a link to an earlier thread which discussed these matter.

https://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=1252&forum=1&post_id=10053#forumpost10053

FURTHER EDIT -

PLEASE DISREGARD MY ADVICE
as Kev, Dave and Howard have pointed out the error of my ways in their posts below. In future I'll try and sit back and let the real experts provide credible answers.

Barrie,

The wheel cover look great even though not "correct". I went back and had a look at an earlier photo of yours of a hubcap on your '50 and there is no comparison between the two in my opinion.

go with the '51 wheel covers.
