This one is from south of Tucson. A terrific looking car which I think I photographed a few months ago while attending a car show near in Tubac AZ.

1955 Clipper - looks nice from this side, especially for the price.

It is a nice looking car on the outside. Nicely optioned too. It even looks like there might be a windshield washer.

For a "beautiful restoration" I would wonder why there are so many things under the hood just laying there or bypassed, what the extra electrical is next to the battery and how well it starts with that tiny battery cable. Another question might be what are all the wires hanging under the dash.

Hi

A couple of very decent '47 Custom Super Clipper sedans, note the nice original upholstery in each, an expensive item to replace:

Good to see what is on the market, thanks for the links. Interior in the first one is original, but is badly worn and would need to be replaced. I wonder what that gizmo on the instrument panel above the steering column is? Second one looks better in spite of its non-stock paint scheme. It will need a headliner, at least.

Gizmo might be a mileage card or something like that? I have never seen a car with a headliner with bows running from front to back except for some MoPar hardtops from the late 50's. I learn something every time I log in to this site@!
