Eric, with the radiator out of the car, it is a good time to remove the water pump and inspect the distribution tube. Also a good time to flush out the block. I have to get the radiator on my '47 repaired and plan on doing these jobs while it is out. Less to worry about.

While at it you could also check the timing chain and the front motor mount rubbers. I just did mine when the rad was out.

I'd rebuild the cylinders and use the money for the water pump since time is an issue. I'd replace the cyls later as it looks like you'll probably end up replacing all the lines. The ones on my 48 were frozen and I got them redone in a few hours. Yours are probably just as bad as mine were.
