Would make sure the linkage is in good shape just to rule that out when you go under to remove the pan & filter. If the trick shift & filter doesn't free it up, then the valve body might need to come apart to have the varnish removed with something stronger.

as of late,

I have unfortunately come to notice a rather
unfortunate odor of the stinky exhaust motor.
it is unpleasant, unfit for a gentleman..
let alone a Packard Pilot

I must imperatively locate the source of this hazardous hazard,
a creepy seep .... or a bastard breeze, possibly , slitheringthru unsuspecting open window portals, perhaps...

Slick trick on the Lavender wheels. I like it. not sure about lavender on my green or red vehicles, but just about any other color car would look good with the lavender wheels. Keep the ideas coming.
