55 Reactor shaft with oil grooves. Should of bored it out to 56. There is like .045 difference.
Park lever is made to use without black roller. There is like .065 difference. ..would that make a big difference holding gear.? And If using same dimensions as packard lever leaving off roller make a difference?.. Packards is to sloppy to try..

I'd wonder about not using the roller. If it has an electric shift those have enough trouble with the motor not having enough power to move the trans out of park on any kind of an incline that puts pressure on the lever. If you make the mechanism have more friction it could increase the problem. Maybe you could find a small roller bearing instead of the black roller.

That's Might be possible..
I don't have the black roller in mine. That's the way my dad made mine. But..would .065 less make it easier to get out of park..?.. That something I was wondering..

The pawl does not engage very far into the gear as it is. I wouldn't like to lose that .065, and I also don't want any extra friction.

Ross.
I would think the 2 piece would add more friction. I have one of those levers and both are frozen. Black frozen to pin. Pin frozen in ears.

After 2 day set back. Stripped the thread on rear pump.
So had to make some new ultramatic tools. To put helicoil in. Was able to get planetary and high range clutch in. Sunday 14 plates total for high range clutch. That tool to compress spring is great. Had to buy Chuck and tap rod. Setscrew would not hold.

Tailshaft ready.. Going to do the Ross mod first.
Want to put trans at 90? high range clutch will take a dive. So I can see parking gear..see how much lever goes in gear without black roller and with it. So putting bell housing on.. Also ground sharp edge off parking gear. Getting that stuff off the NOS parking gear was a a pain.. That coating they put on metal..
