Howard, The mirrors on my 1947 Super Clipper were mounted exactly like those on JW''s Custom and it was a very original car as well. They too were mounted with sheet metal screws. If I can locate a photo I will post it.

If you are meaning 22nd series mirrors there is a set on ebay now sold by David Moe at Seattle Packards. I bought one of his sets for my 21st series. If those sell then keep checking with Dwight Heinmuller for more repros.https://www.packardparts.org/products/parts/ He lists them with other accessories toward the bottom of his parts page and says the will have some back in stock by the end of the year.

If you are looking for 23rd series then that will be a harder find. Kanter had some NOS listed a few months ago but if those are gone then hopefully someone else will be able to help.

Both mirrors on my 48 are like the ones on the blue car - Dont know what they are -AND, there are two screw holes in the trim molding -

I think you meant the Green Packard and here is a picture of the mirrors from the 1948 Accessories Brochure and I think that's what you're talking about.
