The '41 120? I'll never understand how people can expect to sell a car for good money (especially what he's asking) with such terrible pictures. Turn the phone sideways and capture the whole car.

Thought the exact same thing as soon as I clicked on that one!

Oh, that 1955 Clipper Constellation.......be still my heart!!!

I love that color combo. My Mom drove a red and white '55 Constellation in 1957 thru 1959. My Grandmother drove it in 1955 and 1956. The perks of being married to the owners of a Packard dealership.

Drain and flush the fuel system too, putting in fresh petrol.

What Don says about draining/flushing the fuel system cannot be stressed enough!! Running bad fuel thru an engine that ran great 10 years ago can easily result in an engine with some stuck valves that will run poorly if at all.

The gas tank may not be able to be cleaned without removing it; the metal gas line from the tank to the fuel pump should also be cleaned/flushed. Alternately you can make a small temporary fuel tank out of a metal gallon can or use a boat gas tank, and use rubber fuel line to connect it to the fuel pump inlet. And, if non-ethanol gas is available in your area, use it because the ethanol crap is detrimental to the old style hoses and fuel pump diaphragms in these older cars.

It's a great looking car, so be careful with it! This forum has a huge amount of hard learned information in the heads of the members (not so much me, since I'm still looking for my first Packard) so don't hesitate to ask questions.

Just checked the posting on FB Marketplace and it is showing the car as Sold. So hopefully, it will now be restored.

Or maybe hot rodded.......some of those 'gold chain' (ie, old and rich) street rod guys have deep pockets.

Interestingly, the 1947 Custom Super Clipper Sedan has been fitted with power steering (along with disc brakes).

Are there available p/s "kits" for Packards?

There is a new Packard listing on this site as of today.

1937 115C Business Coupe. Very nice older amateur restoration done in the early 1980's. Looks sharp in solid black and has the correct pinstriping. Only major drawback is that the person who restored the car had the interior done over in red vinyl. Pattern looks correct, but of course, vinyl in a prewar Packard is a big no-no. Obviously, this will impact the value of the car, the question is by how much. An impressive amount of documentation goes with the car. I would like this one a lot more if it were not for the interior. But it does look like a great driver.

bringatrailer.com/listing/1937-packard-115-3-window-coupe/

That is a very nicely styled car! Just something about it that really appeals to me. Like TxGoat, I could live with the vinyl interior as long as the price reflected that.

The thing that would worry me about this car: "The car has not been driven under current ownership according to the seller" So its a crap shoot as to whether this car does anything but sit and idle I guess. Suspension, brakes, trans, engine, rear axle.....the current owner has no idea whether all that works correctly because he has never driven it except down the block and back??? Would be a big red flag for me if I was interested in bidding. But, if a person just wanted to look at it in their garage, or drive it onto and off of a trailer to take it to shows, I guess it wouldn't matter to them. Me, I'd want to be able to get into it and drive it 100, 150 miles.

Yes, it is bizarre. But you are preaching to the choir. Probably all of us have had similar experiences of sellers not responding to inquiries.
