BDeB:
Thanks for the Trico part number on the '51 Packard. Now if you could do me another favor and look up a 1951-1956 Buick and see if the Buick Trico part number for the washer pump is the same as the Packard part number. If so, then I can order the rebuild kit from a Buick vendor which will fit my '51 Packard. Here is the kit from the Buick vendor: http://www.oldbuickparts.com/catalog/up-to-1960-buick-group-10-windshield-wiper-windshield-washer-kit-1951-56-buick-p-26058.html I think they are a little pricey, and the kit doesn't include the 6" spring that is sometimes rusted beyond use. But I guess if you want a working washer then there is no alternative.

For what it's worth, the rubber on these stops is so flexible that I was able to remove my brake and clutch pedals, slide the stop down the pedal shaft and through the hole in the floor and into the engine compartment.
Just another way to install them, though maybe not the preferred way.

OK, thanks for the replies. I found the problem. Apparently my version of JAVA was corrupted. I reloaded it and am now able to access the website.

Is anyone else having trouble getting into the PAC website (The Packard Club)? I have tried with both of my computers to access http://www.packardclub.org/ but always get a message saying Internet Explorer cannot access this site.
Is my version of Internet Explorer the cause?

When I purchased my 1937 120 Convertible Coupe it had never been restored. The front compartment had a rubber mat in it (which I recorded the pattern of on a piece of paper before I tore it out), and the rumble seat area also had a rubber mat. When I reupholstered the car I added carpeting in both areas, right or wrong that is what I wanted.

For what it's worth, I have replaced the water pump in my '37 120C many times. It appears to be the Achilles Heel of my car. Each time I was able to remove the water pump and fan as a unit without damaging the radiator. I have also reinstalled the pump and fan as one unit too. It is much easier to remove/install the fan blade on the bench than trying to wrestle it into place once the water pump is on the car. Again, for what it's worth.

David: I went out to the NAPA on-line site, typed in my make, model and year, and selected "shocks." The site lists only one option for front and one for rear for 1951 Packards. Those are what I got. Hope this helps.

After trying numerous flashers in our 1951-1953 Packards, the only one that I and several others in our club has found that works properly is a Tung-Sol 6-volt 229D.
