I am willing to pay about half that currently. I would love all Packard parts on my Packard but being the white collar PC mechanic that I am my budget just doesn't allow for the $1000+ for the intake. For any SB Ford or Chevy they are $250 new. Why do I have to have expensive taste?

I know its not the same but they do make a slingshot that should bolt up to and run 2x2 on a stock manifold.

http://www.vintagespeed.com/

I got an adapter from vintagespeed that will bolt to my packard v8 intake to let me run 3 97s. Ends up being the same cfm as the stock carb and a I know is going to be a pain to tune but it will look good till I get the dual quad intake.

The T5 seem to do handle 300hp stock but the torque that this motor has will tear it up. I have a friend that works for So-Cal speed shop here and they have a transmission guy that I was going to talk to about building one for me. I was looking at the G-Force kits as well.

What do those pilot bearing run? I haven't tried to even look for one yet. I know getting one for my '50 with the 288 was kind of a choir.

Ill call McCloud, thanks for the info.

There has been a Edmunds 2X2 on ebay for ever keeps coming up over and over. The price is $950 so that might have something to do with it. But they are still out there.

So I have the fly wheel and have tracked down a bell housing just don't have that in-hand yet. Sooooooon.

The question is what clutch and pressure plate would I use. Also I don't like the look of a cylinder cluttering up the firewall but what are my through out options?

What have you done?

The numbers that I have seen from another Packard web site are these.

Manuf ID Int dur Int lift Exh dur Exh lift
Packard 440786 250 0.374 250 0.374
Packard 6480581 256 0.398 252 0.388
Isky E-2 Mechanical 256 0.420 256 0.420

I was going to ask Isky to make it as much as possible with out having to change any internals. I will post the numbers on my grind as soon as they figure out what can be done.
