Here's one for discussion.

Looking at the service bullitins
" Oil Filter Tubes- 1800-1803"

I have identified several plugs in the 37 6cyl block oil passages.

Has anyone added a oil filter assy to the 37 6 ?
If so how did you do it.

Not sure what a automatic expansion expansion. My Pistions have a slot in the skirt up to the ring head area.

Found tihs little jewel when pulling the engine, As I disconnected the clutch push arm it seperated from the fork just in front of the adjustment nuts.
After closer inspection it appears that the arm broke many years ago and formed its ball and socket joint.

Pictures of the engine. The engine shows that this is the first time being opened. Cylinders do not show any scoring but are "wellpolished".The cam has an interesting wear pattern, timing chain is being replaced.

1937 115C mechanical refresh

Home away from home

Moving my project to this part of the forum.
Started a month ago to do the mechanical refresh on my 1937 115c. The previous owner had replaced the radiator, waterpump, brakes, shocks, gas tank.

It is now time to do the Trans and engine, and with some additional thought.. rear wheel bearings and pinion seal.

I'll repost a couple of shots and add new as it goes..

QUESTION
What are the markings on the piston,
"C" is standard but the 6 aand grouped II are a mistery to me
