Howard
I am very sorry!!! you are correct, I was on the wrong page and gave out the STARTER model. my gen number is correct.
however the same question still applies to the starter not the generator. would it make a difference that my car has factory a/c and need more cranking power?

Hi Folks
I have a 1953 Patrician, the generator has a model number of MCL 6122 4H, the service manual only lists MCL-6133 or MCL- 6114. any thoughts of why mine is not included in the manual or is not correct for a Packard.

thanks for any help

thank you tolandis and Howard, all good info. The 16 gauge is a better idea, I was thinking 18 would do. thanks again.

I have what looks to be an original hand spotlight. It matches what is in my operation and care manual for the 1953 Patrician..unfortunately it does not have the cord or plug. Can someone help with the size of wire, the book says it is 12ft. long, but not the gauge, and where I can get a plug that will fit the cigar lighter. thanks in advance for any info

dwightrh in response to plastic ducts for my 1953 a/c Packard.
I have found that they were an option available from the Kansas City Zone Office on April 20,1954
it is listed on The Robert H. Aller cd vol. 2 $12.00 net $20.00 retail.
hope this info resolves the question as to it being a Packard or after market item.
lots of good info on these c/d

I am not sure. the machine shop did not give details as to where it was cracked, need to follow up with them and maybe like yours it can be fixed

thank you Howard

the head I have had .007 shaved off to clean high and low spots, before I found the cracked block. would that be to much to use on the new engine??

Hello Packard experts.

will a 1954 359ci engine easily replace a 1953 inline 8 327 9 bearing engine. are the engine mounts the same, and the trans bell housing the same, also the intake and exhaust manifolds compatible. my engine has crack in the block and looking to replace it.
thanks for all your ideas and info
