So DONT order them from JEGS. I was looking on line for lifters and saw that JEGS had jb-879 listed for $41.99($2.62 each). Thinking this was a great deal I call them and ask to make sure that's for a set, the guy said yes so I proceeded to order them. Got the package yesterday and there was 1 lifter in the box. Called Jegs and they were little to no help on the issue. I know lifters can be sold one at a time but that would be $671.84 a set. HIPO roller lifters are not even that much. I will be returning this and never ordering from jegs again. Thought I would save $10-$20 by ordering online. Well off to Checker it is.

Jack,
Thanks again. I have my olds pump and adapter installed and hope to get the motor buttoned up soon and in the car. The intall was super easy, just had to grind the pump and the one bolt a bit and all is well. Ryan Messner

The lifters are worn so those need replaced and I was wanting to get as much out of the cam with keeping "stock" parts.

I am going to send my cam off to Isky for a regrind and been looking around for new lifters.
Has anyone used the ones from Egge? http://www.egge.com/kits?make=PACKARD They are $115.68 for the set so $7.23 a pop. I would like something that is going to hold up. I havent had any my self but I hear there are a lot of crapy lifters on the market these days. Also I have seen that the Melling and Seled power 879 lifters work in that block. had anyone ran these? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SLP-HT-879/ one piece at a time Ryan

Green Dragon You wouldnt have any pics of your set up that you could share would you? Are you using the packard lower cover and starter? Anyother adapters besides the offy plate and pilot bushing? Did you use the ford fork, throwout bearing, pressure plate and clutch on a packard flywheel?
