MAL: Have you ever had anyone come knock you up? I remember that expression well from when I visited your country 40 years ago this month on my 21st birthday.

Well not necessarily an Australian. From Merriam-Webster:
"pommie Main Entry: Pom?my Variant(s): or Pom?mie \ˈp?-mē\ Function: noun Inflected Form(s): plural Pommies Etymology: by shortening & alteration from pomegranate, alteration of Jimmy Grant, rhyming slang for immigrant Date: 1912 Australian & New Zealand usually disparaging : briton ; especially : an English immigrant" I think the last line 'an English immigrant' is where Mal was coming form, as I was born in England (mother is British, father was USAF), and grew up in the US. But I speak two languages, English and Queen's English. I also speak a little 'Spain-glish'. But that is basically required in So Calif.

Here are a few picture of the correct side script, trunk script, and the Packard script.

NO! is the answer to your question.
I would like to point out that Indiana isn't what I would call an east coast state. John F. Shireman

Then L/R side "Clipper" trim script is the same part number as the one on the trunk (block letter style), and also is the same style as the Super and Deluxe script. On the truck it should read:
CLIPPER (*) SUPER or CLIPPER (*) DELUXE in my case. I know this from how the paint was faded into my trunk lid. I have NOS Clipper and the Deluxe scripts for the trunk lid that I bought awhile back, but I have not been able to find two good ones for the rear doors. The search continues. Also those scripts are unique to the '54 Clipper. There are other Block style ones, but they are the wrong size and wont line up with the mounting holes. Also on the right side of the trunk lid, but higher up, you should have a small "Packard" script that is mounted at a 45 degree (or so) angle.

I just had a conversation with a guy "back east" (Indiana) who was enthralled that he might be able to get some "rust free" South West USA cars from me. Oh, this is a Firebird, not a Packard, but the argument is the same.
We did a deal on a couple of parts that he had that I needed and I traded him a 1973 Firebird stripped chassis for it. He was happy as a clam, so to speak. So was I to get these otherwise rare parts. For you East Coast guys, are these "rust free" cars so desirable that you will go to extreme lengths to get one? Craig
