Kev, not sure if the dealer directory was effected, but take a look at C.W. Upchurch and Co. It looks like the post is cut off. I noticed this on a few other dealer descriptions.

Looks like the fix you mentioned in the thread "new web server" fixed my thread as well. Boy, for a second I thought it was just me.

Mike,

Take a picture of the entire car, from the side, on level ground, so we can see the relationship between the front and back. That might us all understand what you are seeing.

the side hieght is 8 3/4 inch.

my driveway is extremely uneven, which makes getting the car level hard to do.

Ill go out and look in a few, but my opinion is that the front end is not holding up quite right.

Guscha I am glad you are finding them. I cant fix them, if no one tells me about them!

The image problem is now fixed. For some reason the FTP client didnt properly set the permissions on some of the images to make them web readable. I guess when you are uploading 17,000 files it overwhelms the FTP software. So that was a quick fix, but reset the permissions on all the forum images to be web readable (viewable), and voila! fixed.

I knew the server move was going to have these oddities that would need to be addressed, no move is ever seamless. Keep up coming!

Just some curious questions because something's not right--either from sag or something else. A properly working system will have a ride nothing else of the era could touch and a bad system is just that-no range of motion and running over a toothpick will cause rebound bumpers to hit..

As mentioned, when car level it should be at 10" height, suspension about centered in front. How high is your car when level? The front load link has some grooves on it. Just wondering how many on yours? That is piece that can be changed to raise or lower overall height. Wondering if someone has already worked on it and it's as high as possible. When level, is the compensator having to really twist the rear bars or are they in neutral position or close to?

Ok, the correct data was in the file I exported from the old server. But the special characters were causing the data to truncate on the import. The old ISP's DB backup process should have tagged those characters with a forward slash to mark them as special when it did the export, but it didnt.

So I just wrote a small script to go through all the data and replace the special characters with the correct "\" slashes in front on them so the import process would not balk at it.

The I changed all the SQL INSERTs to UPDATEs in the SQL data script and reimported. So I updated almost 11,000 entires with the correct text from the old server. So that should fix everything.

I just looked at the ZIS thread where it was pretty bad, and this fixes them those.

Knocking down those gremlins one by one! Thanks for your patience.

I cant imagine that it has been greased for a long time.

there is a door sticker that says It had a full chassis lube in 1968, at 84,000 miles. it now has 84,525.

Theres no fender skirts on mine, but the issue is, if i raised the front anymore, it seems like the rear suspension stops working. Set the way it is now, the rear suspension acts like normal springs might. however, the front is only an inch or two off the bumpstops. When i had the front higher, it seemed like the rear suspension stopped working. If i stood on the back bumper, it would drop down to low-rider levels and stay there. i actually had to lift it back up manually. once i hit a certain point with the t/l system, the rear suspension would seem normal. it just means the front is kinda low. the engine torque does pick the front up an inch or two on mild acceleration.
