Sorry I posted twice. I thought I lost the post before so put this up instead. I will ask Barbe for permission to use photo in the magazine.

Pictured is Mrs. Hyde Ballard and daughter Barbe. Later on, Barbe was given the 29 as a high school graduation gift. This is before it was painted green.

From what I know, engine and frame numbers do not match. My 29 645 doesn't and it is all original.

My late father in law had a 47 Clipper. I hated driving it. Granted it needed a rebuild on the suspension but If that was the first Packard I had ever driven, I would have run run run away from them. Lucky that I drove the 645 and the A model Pierce to have something to gauge. I didn't shed any tears when we sold the 47 after his death.

No attempt to keep you in the dark. I was just using my IPhone camera and with the car in the shade and the bright sunlight behind her makes difficulty in balancing the light. Here is a better one taken after I moved to a slightly different spot. As you can see, it was still very harsh light.

Parade duty, Westtown, Pa. October 1948. Duchess was green at this time. Note condition of tires.

I always thought it was 388 but thats what I get for thinking. Egge's isn't too far from me. I will call Gould, even if they are in Kings Park NY (one town over from where I grew up)

Any ideas on the radiator removal?
