The temperature gauge on my 48 is not working also. It is stuck on nearly hot , if the ignition is on or off. So, does this apply to a 48 also . I assume it is electrical, not mechanical on a 48. Thanks

How do you remove the instrument pod on a 48-50 ? Looks like just two retaining nuts at the inside bottom - and then the assembly will come out ? Right ? Thanks

The left rear window in my 48 Deluxe will not roll up or down -handle just spins. - So, I will need to look at the roller mechanism. Can someone give me directions to get inside - what has to come off - Thanks

We have determined that I have current on both sides of the circuit breaker. So, I guess I will be pulling the switch assembly out to look at the headlight switch. Does anyone know what usually goes wrong with the switch- mechanical or dirty or what ? A diagram or picture of the inside of switch would be helpful - Thanks

Yes - That is what mine has - the gray woodgrain - I have seen this color on Packards on the web. As I said - the rear inside window frame was not painted over - still has the gray. Just wondering what it was called - Thanks

I'm trying to determine what the interior trim paint was called on my 48 Deluxe ( dash, window moldings, etc )- Everything had been painted over EXCEPT the inside rear window frame and underside of dash. The color looks like a medium gray. Don't know if this considered wood grain or not. I saw a listing of wood grains somewhere , but can't fine it now. Thanks
