I use the same NAPA 7212 battery that O-D uses.
Turns right over for my 40/356.

The gentleman from whom I purchased the LEDs sells a 19 LED bulb which emits light straight back and a 32 LED bulb that emits light straight back and sideways, which my car having a rounded tail light lens really makes a big improvement. I use the 32 LED bulbs.
These bulbs are for 6V positive ground cars. Please note: I have NO connection to the vendor. Alvin

Hello Terry,
I had the same problem with my 40. All the prior replies have given you excellent advise. What I did was to buy 6V LED bulbs and "coat" the inside of the tailights with silver foil. The difference was amazing. The vendor is U.S. is www.highspeedmotors.com. Don't know if UK has a similar vendor. Hope this helps. Alvin

As O-D has written, WIX makes filters for NAPA. Have been buying NAPA filters for the Packard for quite some time. Easy to get and WIX is among the best.

Mahoning63..The body of the 40 one-off Derham is NOT a 37 CD.
The body is aluminum, I don,t beleive Packard ever made an aluminum body. Has a divider window, radio controls in the rear armrest, intercom from back to front, non moveable front seat (measured for the chauffer). The "bussel" back is typically Derham. The car was researched back to the original owner. How do I know that?..because I am the owner of the car!

Had this decision to make a few months ago. Have a 1940 senior with 4 1/2 inch www. Radials were only 4 inches. Made for an entirely different look in addition to my thoughts that these cars (pre war) suspensions are not tuned for radial tires. Went with Lester bias tires from Universal and am very pleased. Of course this is everyone's own decision as to what they feel is best for themselves.

tbirdman,
I had a similar problem with a 40/356. Would jump out of 3rd gear. Put in a stronger spring and no longer have thaat problem.
