I bought a Mr. Gasket 3 speed floor shift conversion when I put an R11 OD in my 38 but I wound up doing Peter's method instead. I never tried to set up the Mr. Gasket unit so I don't know if it will work. $25 plus shipping and it's yours, I live in Coventry RI.

Watched an episode of American Pickers last night and they uncovered a 120 convertible coupe. The owner said it was a 39 but it sure looked like a 40 to me with the two side grills.

My 6 volt pos grnd 1 wire alternator works like that, a quick rev and then it charges at idle

Is there a difference between the left and right front Delco shocks on my 1601 and if so how can you tell them apart? Inquiring minds want to know.

On a similar sad note- on this day 30 years ago the last Fiero rolled off the assembly line (it was a red GT signed by all the employees)

A few other quick indicators of year are: 38 data plate is a decal -38 is a floor shift the donut lady (if you have one) doesn't have glass wings

There are a lot of Chinese knock offs using brand name logos. If you find a really cheap "Carter" pump - beware
