Thanks David,

I have set up an account over there and posted the picture. Should I delete post?

Sorry to bring this here, but You're all the smartest group I know in regards to car ID.

My mother in law was going through a box of pictures from her Grandparents and came across this picture. Its puzzled me for awhile. I am confused by the grille, and the round holes in the doors. The windshield frame looks very modified. Armored car with holes to poke guns out of? Well. What do you guys think?

Very say day for Packard lovers and Detroiters. The last real recognizable section of the landmark is gone now. I think the last real preservation efforts for the old plant are finally gone. I think its time to raze the rest of the structures and be done with it. Atleast the proving grounds are there to focus our efforts on.

An interesting link to a packard plate site:

I've used his products on many of my cars over many years. I did not know him personally, but if the quality of his paints reflect the man, then he was a great man.

RIP

I took 2 pictures of the firewall in case one didn't turn out. It shows the last number a little better as a 4.

I drive by there quite a bit, so I'll stop and try to get a better picture.

Came across this in Aurora Oregon. I seem to remember someone on here wanting vins and firewalls tampings so here they are.

He has a Constellation around back, and a '55 Patrician parts car out back. I think a '55 400 in the barn. I attached a picture of his business card.

I think the 1943-1945 Packards were the most minimal Packards.

I thought my 85 mile round trip for 18 years commute was bad. You've got me beat BigKev.

Except Now I do it with a 9 month old.

Good luck in your new surroundings!
