found it! 5567-4437, same as the body tag. OK, I don't know for SURE that it is a 352, but who would special order a lower engine, with factory air?

I would love to go and had plans to do so!! Uncle Sam moved up my orders, so no dice. I will be living vicariously.

What is my engine size?

I have recently acquired a 1955 clipper constellation. I know that it should have a 352. The block / head is green - so Packard, but I don't know which size is actually in it. I would like to find the engine numbers, but any positive indication of the size would be good for now. Randomly looking through 50 years of grime has not proved successful.

thanks!

Is it just me, or are others having trouble? I've tried multiple times on multiple days to add my new acquisition. Once I got as far as it asking for the year, but most times just the blank title page.

Hard, (but not impossible!) for the wife to say no to two free Packards from different sources. First is a family car. Second, just a kind heart that knew that he didn't want to complete a third restoration.

just do what I did: read all the '23 literature, make several '23 cars your desktop backround, convince the wife that, one day, one day...,

check all the prewar forums everyday, and after a year or so, one should pop up for free, Hey, worked for me!

I have one basket case, and another many months away from seeing a public road, but I've absolutely been bitten! Guess it is time to change my signature, add to the registry, so much to do with each acquisition.

Yeah!! I am now the owner of a second Packard! Given, (yes, thats correct) to me by a forum member with the understanding, that I will do what I can to get her roadworthy again. I just had delivered a remarkably complete 1955 Clipper Constellation with factory air! This is not the best picture, as a lot of the trim is inside the car or the trunk, but from what I can see, almost all there. I don't really have a timeline as I am going overseas again for 6 months very soon, and the wife says that the '28 526 has to be DONE before I can undertake a restoration of the '55. Running, and driving YES, restore, no, so that may be a while yet!

So, enjoy my new Clipper meeting for the first time her much older brother.

Love your blog, and the car..., in fact I have a '55 constellation on its way (in the next month or so) from a forum member..., "free to a good home" as it were. Guess I will have to start again and reread all 118 pages!!
