I have a 52 with a leaky bung ,leaky bung can you imagine ,it's sounds like some embarrassing medical condition .i tried tightening the little drain nut but I bet some prior owner did that and spun the bung in the tank ,I tried sanding off the area and covering the whol area with epoxy but it sticks good works until the gas cooks the stuff and it peels off I tried draining the tank and repeated still has a teensy leak. If gas wasn't 5 million dlls a gallon I'd ignore it
I hate the thought of 500 for a tank and I bet a couple of 100 for shipping for a good tank with bung issues!

If you end up making a straight 8 exhaust manifold and whatnot to make two the same and sell an extra let me know ,I put a dual intake and am bolting a plate to the original cast iron exhaust heat stove hole to be able to use the ordinal iron exhaust , but a straight eight header would be cool!

does anyone know how thick the heads can be before they are milled too much
,i put an old 288 head on my 327 engine and was shocked at how close the top of the piston was to the plug hole ,now am spooked that it may have been milled to often ; what size plug fits in the 288 head
theres a company in the southwest called empire who will cast you a finned head for your 327 a la the venerable old evans 50's hot up option but I think they were 2000 -2500 $ or so

hey this might be a dumb question ,but if I tap off the intake manifold to run a brake booster ,wouldn't the booster fill up with gasoline ? IE wouldn't the vacuum line be pulling mixture into the booster? ,is some sort of filter or trap useful?

i noticed some of the grills for the 50-52 's have teeth and some dont .I ordered an NOS lower inner grill piece and when it came, there were no tooth mounting holes
i may have ordered the wrong part ,which models had teeth and which were edentulus?I thought perhaps that the teeth in my car may have been from a replacement grill ,(fake teeth?does my old car have dentures?)
