Steve ,My trans has a line leak that it has had for some time.Long before I bought the car.really not a pro or con just a maintenance issue.I plan on dealing with it this summer. My "300" is bed rock solid and a joy to drive. As a plus all those grill "teeth" make lots of people smile.

That I don't know, I didn't service it during the restoration.A clock nut from work did it. All he did was clean it. And not much of that. From what he said.I can get it out no problem.I think I know what to look for.Next good day we have .... Maybe sometime in July.LOL

Finally got The old girl out for the first time today.Crummy weather here in Michigan.Yeah, she ran like,...well a Packard. But rats the clock did not start when I connected the battery. The battery did run down to dead last fall,so I did not get a last start up before the snow flew.Plus the charger quit.Oh well I am thinking just clean the connections.Any one have any other thoughts? gearrat,Any of the usual suspects Kanters ect will have your gaskets and carb stuff. There are many others too that will carry such things.Even Napa. I do not think in this case they can help you however. Forget the E85. Great news that it turns over!I bet it will run.Do consider the extra engine. After all parts is parts.LOL

While I respect and look up to Big Kev no one "as dumb as a post" can fix these unless they are not to bad off in the first place. Also that was not me with the stuck antenna. My saga goes on much longer than that. And is more involved than that. If you really want to know what it cost I will tell you but suffice it to say it was "Cast in Gold,Platinum plated and Diamond studded!More than my house payment ever was! That is why I cautioned you on it.It would not take long to fry it If you goofed.Mine was hopeless from the beginning. It just went down hill from there. While I agree anything is possible, yours doesn't look too good. I dont mean to be a kill joy here but I too have been down this road.the guts of my unit was worse than yours but be careful, it will not take long to fry the feild or the windings when you try it.Do your self a favor send it in to some one who knows this unit.Arizona Packards comes to mind.It will save you MUCH greif and maybe MUCH $$$ If you really want this unit to work, this is the way to go, no not cheep but cheeper in the long run if you dont send it in and it fails in almost a for sure fry job in the car underway later.
