Selling the functional rear end out of my 51 Packard 200 with 2 drums and all 4 u bolts. Pinion seal leaking is the only issue I had with it.
Asking $200 OBO - local pickup or burr pays shipping.Currently in north eastern Indiana.

Another alternative would be Air-Lift springs. I have used them on 3 different chevy trucks and they work great. I will consider that on mine at some point.

I bought some Monroe MA705 (they’re a little shorter than factory, but they’re air shocks) On my 51

I've got a decent pair out of a 53 Clipper; slightly firmer spec than the originals which I have always found a bit woozy. $200 the pair but the shipping from MD to IN is going to be spendy.

Let me know if you’re able to get a close estimate on shipping to 47303, thanks!

Oh oh, I think your car is rejecting the rear-end transplant. It's probably best to put a Packard rear-end back in before it's too late!

That is still the factory rear end lol

I’m trying to find out if there are any other rear leaf spring that would fit my Packard aside from the (expensive to me) Kanter direct replacements. I’m currently fabbing everything for my near rear end. Or if someone had some used or NOS they were looking to sell. Thank you for your time.

Why not just measure the spring length and (somehow) determine the load capacity then buy a common spring of those specs?

Like a double eye, 36", 1500 lb spring.

If Eaton cannot help or does not have anything in your price range and you want to see if you can find something else that might fit, the specs (length, width, load & spring rate) for the 51 200 rear springs are on page 33 in Vol 24 #8 August 1950 issue of the Service Counselor.

Thank you!
