Sorry for not giving updates but school had me busy for a while. But today I was able to get it back on the road after 5 years of sitting. It was the most enjoyable thing i got to experience in a car. The torsion level is working and i have nothing to complain about. I changed all the fluids before the my test run and hooked up all the wiring. I an excited to be able to drive it. Now the winter i will start on the body

I am currently studying collision repair technology. Penn College is now starting a restoration degree with the collision degree. i might go for another year to be able to have an associates in both collision and restoration. I also have a project post for my Packard under Aaron's project.

hey this website helps me learn. BTV means Bendex Tredel Vac. Which is the power brakes for my 56 packard. They fall often. My boss has told me this and i have read many cases in which it has happened. I will be letting other family member drive the car once it runs. i would hate myself if something would happen to them while driving the car. plus i would hate to loose brakes my self.

I would like to understand more about the BTV. Does any one understand why they always continue to fail. I have on in my 56 clipper and i have not installed it in my car yet. What for replacement units can i get to use instead of the BTV that will be the same?

Hi i was recommended by a very nice gentleman about putting my story up on this website. I meet him at the annual AACA meeting in Philadelphia this past weekend. I am a 20 year old college student attending Pennsylvania College of Technology. I just bought my first Packard right before Christmas last year. It is a 56 Packard Clipper 2 dr hardtop. I am currently employed at a restoration shop which i a grateful that they are letting me work on it on weekends. Someday i want to be able to win an AACA junior and senior awards with it.. it sat for the last 5 years. the previous owner wanted to fix up the car. it has minor rust issues at the bottom of the quarter panels in front of the tires. it was once repaired by another person and now the repair is failing. it has two small holes in the bottom of each fender behind the wheels. The car ran into a garage door with some other owner and slighty dented each fender. the previous owner tried to fix the passenger fender but left it bare for five years. i was able to clean all the surface rust off of it with metal cleaner and painted it to match. It doesnt match to well haha. i almost have it running hopeing this weekend to get it running.
