I have the radio loose and ready to come out but it won't fit out the bottom or out the side. I have removed the glove box also but still can't figure out how to get it from out behind the dash.

My father owns a 1950 Packard with a radio that has a broken tuning knob cable? I was able to get under the dash and loosen the retaining bolts/nuts but I can't get it out from under the dash. Does anyone know how to remove the unit. It is quite large/heavy and doesn't seem to want to come out from behind the dash. Any info. would be helpful.

Thanks

Dave
