My 1937 115-c. Front shoes were riveted and seemed like original in good shape. I used kanter shoes also . I had to open up the new shoes up to fit the slightly thicker shoes The original shoes are slightly thinner maybe thinking back .040 but the big difference is on mine the tops were reinforced on each side wherethey attach to the top holding pin to take up the side to side play. So I made up spacers to take up the play front and back. Yes pins.

Kev I have some good photos of my 37 115 c. firewall panel with the boot at its side. I think the panel you have is from a column shift car. Sorry I can’t post a photo here. iPad. If you send me your email I’ll send you some shots. drose208@comcast.net.

Ok. The shoe on the right is much wider and is reinforced. The thinner shoe left would fit loosely on the pin Could the backing plats of been changed out sorry can’t load photos. From this I pad. But the shoe has a plate spot welded to each side at the top area make the top of mine three times wider .?

On my 37 115-c 1088 , the original shoes are slightly narrower at the location of the break shoe link bar and wider at the anchor pin/plate. The link is the rod between the shoe and wheel cylinder. I replaced mine with aftermarket and had to open up the link rod slightly to fit th shoe. Maybe could of purchase new link rods . But. Also the shoe does not fit the top anchor pin/plate properly. I had to machine up a shim on my anchor plate for a good fit. See what you have for shoes. If I were to do it again and knew this I would have had my original reclined I am on the ct = ri boarder Dave. drose208@comcast.net

1939 brake shoes. Axle. It looks like some shims were added to your brake shoes, I had this problem on my 37 C , with peplacement bonded shoes that had a loose fit on the top pin. My original riveted shoes were reinforced at the top and so thicker. I made up some shims attached to the shoes to solve . Also the bonded shoes material is slightly wider at the bottom, so l machined the slot out in the wheel cylinder pin. I guess I should of had reclined the original sloes. What fits isn't allways the same Carry on. Dave

The 37 pinion seal. I have replaced my 37 115 coupe pinion seal and what you see in back of the yolk is a thin metal shield that holds your smaller pinion seal. Be careful not to bend it . Dave

Just trying to add a reduced sized photo of some of my original brake shoes from 37. 115-c compared to the replacement bonded shoes. I will add to this if it goes through. New on this photo sizeing. ☹️. Whoops the wrong photo. But I did it few, Back to the shoes later. Dave. The origional riveted shoes are wider on the top sides than the replacements is I welded a spacer on the side of the holder to take up the slop , the shoes line up nice in the drum. The slot in the shoe expander had to be opened up slightly, the new shoes at this point are slightly wider. Dave

Interesting hole in the bell housing, my 37 115 c has no hole in it but the shop manual 1937/ 1938 shows a hole and plug ! When I was replacing my clutch Assy. The throw out bearing casting was not the same, to one side it had a hole drilled down as to oil the bearing and a small dished out area the size of a penny about 1/8" deep ? What is this I thought maybe to reach up and oil with a oil can ! Did it have a oil line hocked to it at one time. The bearing I have is in good shape and is of a rugger type, so I will reuse the one I have. This unit might not be original of course.. What I did find out possibility ! The bearing (only) could be ford as well is the pressure plate in size 9 1/2" , spline is the same as ford. Went to auto zone for my clutch disc allinement tool no. 22, that also fits pilot bearing. Dave
