Hello Tom:
If I recall correctly these are already being made by Blevins Screw Products - call Bruce at (810) 744-1820. He probably has them in stock. He had them for my 1941 and 1934. He advertises regularly in the Cormorant News Bulletin. Save the favor from your machinist friend until you really need him.

Just confirming Roger's advice, I'm looking at Bruce's list of items and wheel bolts for wooden artillery wheels are listed as applicable to 1929-3? (I believe they were used thru 1936). They are his item #54 at $14.00 each.

Left Bruce a message and he called me back with-in the hour. What a very pleasant person to talk to. He has email his catalog to my home email. I will look it over tonight.
FYI, He stated he uses 303 stainless for the lugs. 3/4" is the hex-head of the lug. Threads are 9/16-18. HAVE A GREAT DAY
