This eBay listing seems a bit squirrely, to say the least. Downdraft carburetors weren't introduced until 1935. Is it possible to use this set-up on an earlier car????

The listing is clearly inaccurate, as the setup is not designed for the 35-later EE-23 carbs, and thus the choke apparatus would not function with that. Yes, this is a re-run, the prior bid was refunded to a friend of mine, thank you seller, as he has a vehicle it would not work for.
YES, the setup could be used on an earlier car (or a later car with a carb adaptation...), but I qualify that by cautioning that anything can be done with the right application of engineering and money, for example I know of a recent 1929 320 build that adapted the 1939 oil pump, just one of several highly labor inten$ive details.
It is otherwise a very good deal for someone who knows what it is and needs it. I seriously considered buying it as I have bought and sold several of these manifolds, but am currently not "in the mood" to buy it.

I have PM'd West regarding specific application. Since there is one detail I cannot clearly discern from the photos, I do not want to publicly state what it is or is not, for fear that it will be relied upon and cause future disappointment. Anyone interested in this manifold is welcome to PM me for further consultation. DAF.

Thanks for responding, Flack
I'm confused, still. You state the manifold is not set up for the 1935-later EE-23 carbs.
What year/model would this manifold fit?
