I received my spare/parts donor 41 110 instrument cluster. My original cluster has a Packard temp gauge but it is wrong (still worked), the face color is black with white marks and a teardrop end needle. The original should be tan with black marks and a straight needle. Now that i have the right one can i test the gauge out of the car with some hot water??????? does the gauge need to be grounded ???. I was thinking i could stick the capillary in the water and then ground the gauge to the car???????????.

LMAO good one!!!!! years ago it would have been too hot and broke my gauge then i could sue them for a bunch of money!!!!!
