29- 640 Club Sedan

Biting the bullet and redoing my interior. I would like it original down to the fine details. Size of each item, proper location, and trim. The parts manual has lists of every material, put I need pictures and details. Any suggestions and pictures you can share? I've scoured the internet, lots of variety or nothing. I gather open cars and closed cars differ, along with what model; Standard, Custom, or Deluxe. A notch up in materials and details as the wheel base increased. I have a 640 Custom Club Sedan - big eight 140 WB.

Rear Door pockets- n/a. Two on the back of the front seat.

Robe rack rode(between the two grab handles): material?

Foot rest: Carpet piping Y/N?

Front Door pockets - Y/N? location, passenger only?

Rear seat pockets-Size, location, look.

Front kick panels- Left, N/A. Rt, small tool pocket holder? Cover or exposed?

Gray linoleum front flooring. The hold down access hardware in all 4 corners, visible inside the car, ends after the 3rd series. How is the flat wood floor secured? From under the car only? no special hardware?

Seats: I believe pleated for 640? Do the pleats wrap or stop at the edge of seat? Buttons Y/N? 1,2,3, or 0 buttons per pleat. Button location; Flat front, seat bottom, seat back? Differences material or pattern from front to back?

So many details so little knowledge!!

I just found/bought a complete original 640 club sedan but most of the interior is rotted away. sitting out in a field in California since 1941.

Thanks for any help.

Not sure if this one has been done to the original specs, but it has a lot of pictures of a 640 club sedan.

I love the sixth series Packards, but that car is a disaster.

Here are some originals:

Note as well, the passenger side kick panel has a pocket for the tool kit.

I don't understand Packard's decision making because the Standard Eight interior is pleated while the Custom Eight is not. The only thing I can figure is the padding and broadcloth was higher quality.
