I have just found the choke cover and spring that goes in the exhaust manifold.
What kind of finish should it have?
Porcelain, ceramic, or just paint.
I would think that porcelain or ceramic would interfere with the operation
Thanks again for your attention
W James

I suspect that the cover and linkage pieces were originally cadmium plated.

We've had numerous NOS choke cover/spring assemblies, the cover plate is black paint and the lever is cad plated. For sure the black paint didn't last long

Thanks
